Horses & Emotional Intelligence
Horses are master guides in the arts of emotional and social intelligence. They are keenly attuned to one another and their environment; leaders of the herd assume responsibility for the well being of all, adapting to ever-changing conditions.
The natural attributes of the horse allow us to connect with how we truly feel, to express ourselves, and to experience human interactions in a powerful new way. Bringing out what is natural and authentic supports us to be true to ourselves, our values and our calling in the world.
The course includes time of quiet reflection with the herd, interactive experiences with the horses, creative practices and de-briefs. See new possibilities in your own emotional strength, resilience and personal power. No previous horse experience is necessary.
Cost: $285

Why Horses?
Partnering with horses is an emerging field gaining ground internationally as a credible and successful means of expanding human capacity to learn and grow. The field has grown exponentially in scope and scale; at the annual conference of the Equine Guided Education Association colleagues from across Canada, the U.S., England, Ireland, Germany and Australia gather to share research, experiences and new ways of working. As human consciousness is evolving, horses are sentient spirited guides ready and willing to lead us into the heart of our humanity and the interconnectedness of all ~ the paradigm of leadership for the 21st century.
Equine Guided Education begins with awareness of oneʼs own energy and state, bringing a quality of congruence and presence that creates optimum learning. Horses mirror our strengths and our vulnerabilities, responding directly to our body language and our unspoken intentions, revealing the dynamics of non-verbal communication and power in our human personal and professional relationships. And most valuable, our relationship with ourselves.
Witness the transformative ah-ha in a young manager observing the male horse's behavior in proximity with a mare. And the his leap in understanding and confidence learning how to support the mare, and navigate his own way in the herd. Or the apparently savvy business leader who cannot get the horse to walk through a gate and finds a new way of being that connects. Or the woman entepreneur who moves past her self-doubt, using her intuition in partnership with an intimidating 1000 lb. horse.
You are wholeheartedly welcomed to join the herd at Spirit Gate and experience the world in a whole and congruent way.
